When Precision Machining, Quality and Service Count
Eccentric Turning Services
Belrick specializes in turning off-center or “eccentric” parts up to 24” in diameter. Our applied experience enables us to provide expert eccentric turning services using programmable eccentric chucks actuated by turning centers set precisely to the amount and orientation of the offset.
When used on a twin spindle turning center, we can orientate multiple eccentric journals to each other. Using the Y-axis milling capabilities of our Doosan Puma 2000SY, we have been able to precisely time eccentric diameters to:
- Gear Teeth
- Oil Holes
We have also developed other methods for working with off-center parts. For instance, we have milled and externally bored eccentrics on castings.
Typical Eccentric Turning Parts
Over the years, we’ve used eccentric turning to produce:
- Eccentric Shafts
- Eccentric Bushings
- End Covers
